Below, you will find our detailed submission guidelines for academic journals, academic books, and general non-fiction/fiction works. We aim to provide a transparent and straightforward process to help you navigate the submission, review, and publishing phases.

1. Submission Guidelines for Academic Journals

At TAP, we publish a wide range of academic journals covering disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and more. We are committed to publishing peer-reviewed, high-quality research and fostering scholarly discourse.

Submission Process for Journal Articles

  • Format: Manuscripts should be submitted as Word documents. We recommend that authors follow the specific formatting style provided in the journal’s guidelines (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
  • Abstract: Each manuscript should include an abstract (250–300 words) summarizing the objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions of the research.
  • Keywords: Please include 3-5 keywords relevant to your research to help with indexing and searchability.
  • References: All citations should be formatted according to the journal’s preferred citation style. References must be fully cited and must include the appropriate DOI or persistent link where available.
  • Figures and Tables: Include high-quality, clearly labeled figures and tables in separate files. Ensure all data presented is relevant and appropriately formatted for publication.

Review Process

  • Initial Screening: Upon submission, our editorial team will conduct an initial screening of the manuscript for alignment with the journal’s focus and quality standards. Manuscripts that meet our criteria will be sent for peer review.
  • Peer Review: Submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript for its originality, relevance, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field. You will receive detailed feedback from reviewers after the peer review is completed.
  • Revisions: Authors may be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewer feedback. Please ensure that revisions are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Final Decision: After revisions are made and resubmitted, the editorial team will make a final decision regarding publication. We will notify authors whether their manuscript has been accepted, rejected, or requires further revision.

Deadlines

  • Submissions are open year-round. However, we recommend submitting manuscripts at least three months before the journal’s upcoming issue publication date to ensure timely review and production.

Editorial Preferences

  • We prioritize articles that present innovative research, address current academic debates, and contribute meaningful insights to the discipline.
  • We value high-quality, well-researched papers that are written in clear, concise, and accessible language.

2. Submission Guidelines for Academic Books

We publish academic books that encompass a range of subjects, from monographs and textbooks to edited volumes and reference works. Our goal is to provide a platform for scholars and researchers to share their ideas and expertise with a broader academic community.

Submission Process for Academic Books

  • Proposal Submission: For book submissions, authors must first submit a book proposal (5-10 pages) that outlines the scope of the book, its primary thesis or argument, and its contribution to the field. The proposal should also include:
    • Table of contents or outline
    • Intended audience
    • Summary of the author’s qualifications and relevant experience
    • Sample chapters (if available)
    • Market analysis (who will benefit from reading this book and how it will stand out in the field)
  • Full Manuscript Submission: After the book proposal is accepted, authors are invited to submit the full manuscript for review. Manuscripts should be formatted in Word and include:
    • A title page with the author’s contact information and institutional affiliation (if applicable)
    • A brief abstract of the book (250–300 words)
    • Chapter organization with consistent formatting throughout the document
    • Complete list of references and bibliographies following the academic style preferred by the discipline (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.)

Review Process

  • Initial Review: The editorial team will first assess the proposal and manuscript for alignment with our publishing goals and academic quality. If the manuscript aligns with our vision, it will move on to external peer review.
  • Peer Review: Books undergo a more in-depth peer review process than journal articles. We engage experts in the field to evaluate the manuscript’s contribution, depth, and originality.
  • Revisions: Authors will be asked to make revisions based on peer reviewer feedback. These revisions could be related to content clarity, structure, or academic rigor. Authors must resubmit the manuscript for a second round of review if necessary.
  • Final Decision: Once revisions are completed, the editorial board will make the final decision regarding publication. You will be informed whether your manuscript has been accepted or rejected.

Deadlines

  • Book proposals can be submitted year-round, but we encourage early submission to align with our seasonal publishing schedule.
  • The timeline for review and publication can vary depending on the complexity of the work, but we generally aim for a response within 3–6 months for full manuscripts after submission.

Editorial Preferences

  • We prefer manuscripts that provide new theoretical insights, empirical research, or comprehensive analyses within their discipline.
  • We value clarity in writing and strong scholarly engagement with existing literature.
  • Manuscripts should be intellectually rigorous and should make a meaningful contribution to advancing the field.

3. Submission Guidelines for General Non-Fiction and Fiction Works

We welcome submissions of general non-fiction and fiction works, including but not limited to memoirs, biographies, essays, self-help, historical fiction, and literary novels. Our goal is to publish works that are engaging, thought-provoking, and of literary merit.

Submission Process for Non-Fiction and Fiction Works

  • Manuscript Submission: Authors should submit a complete manuscript for consideration. The manuscript should be submitted in Word format and must meet the following guidelines:
    • Title Page: Includes book title, author’s name, and contact information.
    • Cover Letter: A brief cover letter introducing yourself, your book, and why you believe it would be a good fit for our publishing program.
    • Synopsis: A concise summary of the manuscript (1-2 pages) explaining the core themes, the plot or argument, and why it would appeal to readers.
    • Sample Chapters: For fiction submissions, include the first three chapters. For non-fiction works, submit a sample chapter along with the introduction or prologue.
    • Word Count: Manuscripts should be no longer than 90,000 words for fiction and 80,000 words for non-fiction, unless otherwise discussed.

Review Process

  • Initial Screening: Upon submission, our editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine if the work aligns with our publishing vision and editorial standards. If it passes this stage, it will move to the next level.
  • Internal Review: Fiction and non-fiction manuscripts are reviewed by our editorial team and, when necessary, external reviewers, to assess writing quality, marketability, and potential reader engagement.
  • Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript based on editorial feedback, including content and structural revisions. We provide clear guidelines for revisions and work closely with authors to refine the manuscript.
  • Final Decision: Once revisions are completed, we make a final decision about whether to offer a publishing contract.

Deadlines

  • Submissions are accepted year-round for non-fiction and fiction works, but please note that certain genres may be more appropriate for specific publishing cycles.
  • We aim to respond to submissions within 2–4 months of receipt.

Editorial Preferences

  • We seek high-quality, well-crafted narratives that will engage and resonate with a wide range of readers.
  • For non-fiction, we focus on works that address timely topics or offer new perspectives on established subjects.
  • For fiction, we are interested in compelling characters, strong plots, and fresh voices that push the boundaries of storytelling.
