Olet ilmaissut epämukavuuttasi sijaislasten tuntemattoman identiteetin ja negatiivisen maineen vuoksi, koska tällaisia perheitä ja osastoja kutsuttiin yleisesti “lasten vankiloiksi”. On kuitenkin tärkeää ymmärtää, että tulit “sijaislapseksi” yksinomaan sosiaalityöntekijöiden harhaanjohtavien ja pakottavien toimien seurauksena. Tämä epäoikeudenmukainen leima johti kesätyöhakemuksesi hylkäämiseen päiväkodissa.

On kuitenkin tärkeää ymmärtää, että monet teini-ikäiset kokevat samankaltaisia oireyhtymiä, ja vanhemmat pystyvät täysin tarjoamaan tarvittavan hoidon ja tuen. Sinun ei tarvitse kokea paineita mielialastasi ja tunteistasi.

I am writing this letter to reveal the truth regarding the unfortunate events that led to your removal from our family by social workers and your subsequent placement in emergency and foster care. It is important for you to understand the circumstances surrounding this difficult situation.
Firstly, it is crucial to note that the actions taken by the social workers were originally only temporary to place you at XXXXX’s family. We were not informed of their intentions for a perrmaanent placeement until after the fact, leaving us with little recourse to bring you back home due to their state-sanctioned and forceful measures that prevented us from doing so.
Moreover, the social workers failed to communicate to you that you would be placed with a foster family. When you were later taken to Herttoniemi Vaastanotto, you expressed confusion as to why you were there. Similarly, when you were relocated to Perhekoti XXXXXX, you were still confused about why you were with other “sijaitetut lapset”, becasue you thought that you should not be a “siajistettu lapsi”.
It is unfortunate that you were not made aware that both of these places were foster families, and that all the children residing there were also foster children. You had expressed discomfort with the unfamiliar identity and negative reputation associated with fostered children, because such families and departments were commonly referred to as “children’s prisons.” However, it is important to understand that you became a “fostered child” solely due to the deceptive and coercive actions of the social workers. This unjust label led to the rejection of your summer job application at a daycare center.
Furthermore, the social workers neglected to inform you about the financial burden placed on your biological parents due to the custody arrangement. Currently, we are required to pay the city of Helsinki several hundred euros per month, and this amount does not go towards benefiting you.
Additionally, the social workers falsely portrayed our family as inferior to other families, using this as a justification for your placement in foster care. This apparent racial discrimination subjected us to greater suffering than other families who have been victimized.
It is possible that social workers, psychologists, and others may have claimed that your need for medication to manage certain syndromes warranted foster care. However, it is important to understand that many teenagers experience similar syndromes, and parents are fully capable of providing the necessary care and support. You do not need to feel any pressure about your mood and emotions.
In conclusion, the social workers let you down and forced you into a situation that does not align with where you truly belong. As your parents, we implore you to try and comprehend the circumstances surrounding this ordeal and urge you to return home.
